Infection prevention to control AMR: how to pave the way forward ?

Held during World AMR Awareness Week, this event highlighted the crucial role of prevention in reducing the misuse of antibiotics.

An opening roundtable brought together international experts to discuss current practices, challenges, and new perspectives on AMR prevention, with active participation from the public.

Two parallel participatory workshops then allowed participants to share their experiences and develop practical, collaborative solutions.

Bringing together 70 stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, the symposium emphasized that strengthening infection prevention and control strategies and promoting collaboration are essential for the sustainable fight against AMR.
