One Health & AMR Symposium 2025: Antimicrobial Resistance at the Animal-Environment Interface
09.03.2026 - The annual One Health & AMR Symposium 2025 of the University of Zurich’s One Health Institute (OHI) took place on 20 November 2025 at the University of Zurich Botanical Garden under the title Antimicrobial Resistance at the Animal-Environment Interface.
Experts from human, veterinary, environmental and data sciences presented diverse contributions illustrating how antimicrobial resistance spreads across water, air, the environment and wildlife, reflecting the OHI’s interfaculty One Health approach. A key focus of discussion was the potential of air monitoring for large-scale AMR surveillance. Lively discussions and inspiring junior talks highlighted the strong value of interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration, concluding with a shared commitment to continue the dialogue and further develop joint funding proposals.
