The European research framework programme “Horizon 2020” covers virtually all of the value-added chain from fundamental research to applied research up to commercialisation.
Since the beginning of 2017 Switzerland is again completely associated with "Horizon 2020” and researchers as well as SMEs may freely apply to participate in projects. The European Commission has already drafted some parts of the work programme 2018 – 2020 for “Horizon 2020”. They also include the programme on Societal Challenges “Health, demographic change and wellbeing“, which relates to calls for proposals on the topic of antimicrobial resistance.
